— The chemicals that are in blue paint are a big concern for anyone with a skin.
But for a blue-haired man in a dark-colored suit, it’s not so simple.
“You can’t just walk into a store with a mask and you know that you’re going to get exposed to chemicals,” says Patrick Eaves, a skin cancer survivor who works as a consultant to the chemical industry.
Eaves says the blue-colored paint he wears in his business is a big source of his problems.
“I think the problem is more likely that it’s because I don’t want to be exposed to it,” Eaves said.
He’s been exposed to a number of chemicals over the years, including paints that are not approved for the skin, but he said the ones that are on the market are not safe.
“It’s not a safe product to use,” he said.
The chemicals are toxic to skin cells and can cause skin cancer, but there are many other potential risks.
“There are chemicals out there that we don’t know what they are.
There’s chemicals that we know are toxic,” said Eaves.
He said he’s noticed an increase in cases of cancer in the last few years, especially in those with darker skin tones.
Some experts say it could be that people with darker hair and skin tones have a higher incidence of skin cancer than others.
But other experts say the trend is a result of people being exposed to too many of the chemicals.
“People are living longer and there are more people living longer than ever before,” said Mark Siegel, director of the Center for Science in the Public Interest.
Siegel has been a professor of environmental health sciences at UC Berkeley since 2004.
He says while some chemicals may be safe for humans, it could lead to more cancer.
“They are still the most toxic chemicals that humans have ever used and are still being used on the planet,” he told CBC News.
SGSiegel believes that is the case for blue-treated products.
He also believes the chemicals in paint are contributing to the problem.
“That’s why there’s been a lot of concern, because if there are chemicals in the paint, you have to be aware that you could be exposed,” he explained.
But Siegel says there are other potential causes of the problem as well.
For instance, blue-finished paint is also a problem for people with certain types of skin conditions.
People with darker melanin, the pigment in skin, have more difficulty in absorbing the blue light and can be more susceptible to skin cancer.
And people with dark skin can also be more likely to be at higher risk for melanoma.
But the fact is, there’s no proof that the chemicals are causing skin cancer in people who don’t have the same type of melanoma, Siegel said.
And the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency says the chemical composition of most paints is consistent with those used for outdoor decor, and is safe for the environment.
So, while some experts are worried about the impact of paint on skin health, the fact of the matter is, the chemical used in blue is safe, SGSauer said.
“If you’re concerned about the safety of the paints, then just wash them with water and wash them well,” he added.
The paint industry is hoping to change that, but Siegel thinks it will take some time.
“We need to get rid of this industry.
It needs to go.
We need to move away from these paints that we have on our hands,” he concluded.
Shes also worries that people who are wearing blue paint will continue to be the ones who are at risk.
“Because of the skin cancers that have been discovered in the population in the past decade, the paint industry has had to come out and say this is what it does, and this is the way it works,” he argued.
She says it’s important that consumers who are not in the industry can get information about the chemicals that can affect their health.
“All you need to do is go to the web and go to places like the EPA and go and look up chemicals,” he suggested.
And he’s hoping that more people will follow suit.
“This is a time when you really need to be talking about the environment, because the environment is going to be affected by this industry for a long time,” he concludes.
