The Colorado Rockies have sold more than $5 billion worth of baseballs this season.
But that doesn’t mean the team has found the perfect balance.
The team said Wednesday that it plans to sell another $3.6 billion worth in baseballs, which includes some old ones.
The price tag for that will be more than the team sold in the first three months of the season.
The Rockies had originally planned to sell $2.5 billion in new baseballs.
They’re now selling $3 billion worth, including a big chunk of new ones.
This is the second consecutive year the team said it would sell $3-billion worth of new baseball.
It had previously said it planned to do it in 2019.
The Colorado Cardinals plan to sell a record $1.9 billion worth this season, the Rockies said Wednesday.
The club said it will sell the majority of its old baseballs to help finance the team’s expansion.
The number of old-timey balls is about 5,000.
That’s about 10 percent of the team.
The rest of the money will go to other team-related projects.
