“It was a massive amount of money.
But I’m proud of what we’ve achieved in the past year,” Ms Vos said.
“The community has responded really well and we’ve also created a really nice new facility that’s really exciting.”
The project is one of many in Victoria that have been commissioned over the past two years, including the $4.2 billion South Yarra Waterfront Greenhouse and the $3.8 billion Materia Terra, both of which are now being built.
Ms Vose says she is optimistic about the projects future, but stressed that the community has to get involved in order to build sustainable businesses.
“The bigger picture is sustainability, the bigger picture needs to be sustainability,” she said.
